Creative taboos
Trianon (1920 territorial loss) & national borders, 1956 revolution, the Roma minority, migration, EU–Orbán government tensions, and LGBT topics (a restrictive 'child-protection' law limits how such content may be advertised/shown near minors) — handle carefully.
Also worth knowing
  1. The Hungarian language is a strong localization moat — native-language creatives are essential and cut competition.
  2. SimplePay (OTP) + Barion dominate checkout — integrate them.
  3. Not in the eurozone — price in forint and watch FX.
  4. Strict gambling ad-liability (operator+advertiser+featured talent all liable) and a unique crypto 'Validator' regime make those verticals compliance-heavy.
  5. Azahriah's stadium-filling rise signals a powerful, mobilizable Gen-Z audience.

Indicative reference — always confirm the current rules with the official source before you run.
