Ad Set

Media buying

The middle level of a Meta/Facebook campaign, sitting between the campaign and the individual ads. This is where you set the audience, placements, budget, schedule, and bid — every ad inside the set shares those settings. Splitting audiences or placements into separate ad sets lets you test and scale them independently.

Example

One ad set targets women 25–34 on Instagram Stories with a $50/day budget; a second targets men 35–44 in the Facebook feed, so you can compare which audience is cheaper to convert.
