Formats

A lossless raster format with full alpha transparency, best for logos, UI, text, and flat graphics with sharp edges. For photos the files run larger than JPG but stay crisp with no compression artifacts. Reach for PNG-24 when you need a transparent background; skip it for full photographic images.
