Ad regulations
RESTRICTED — near-total advertising ban phased in from 1 Jul 2025: promotion allowed only on licensed premises / operators' own sites; limited transitional TV betting-ad slots and sports-sponsorship exemptions until 1 Jan 2028, then full ban. Only locally licensed operators; offshore sites blocked. Regulator: Gaming Control Authority (Lošimų priežiūros tarnyba).
LEGAL — crypto legal and regulated under EU MiCA; CASPs (exchanges, custody, brokers) must be licensed by the Bank of Lithuania. Transition period ended 31 Dec 2025 — unlicensed firms treated as illegal from Jan 2026 (fines, site blocks, criminal liability). Ads must follow financial-promotion rules.
