ROI

Metrics

Return on investment — the bottom-line read on whether a campaign made money after every cost, not just ad spend. ROI = (revenue − total cost) / total cost, shown as a percent; positive is profit, negative is a loss. Unlike ROAS it nets out product cost, fees, and tools, so it's the number that actually decides whether you scale or kill.

Example

$3,000 profit on $6,000 total cost → ROI = 50%.
