Ad regulations
RESTRICTED — Legal and licensed by the National Revenue Agency (NRA), but a near-total advertising ban since May 2024 (no gambling ads on TV/radio/print/online, no bonus figures); GGR tax raised to 25% (2026). Among the EU's strictest ad regimes.
LEGAL — Regulated under EU MiCA via Bulgaria's Markets in Crypto-Assets Act (in force 8 Jul 2025); the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) licenses CASPs (mandatory from 1 Jul 2026); ads must meet MiCA/CASP standards.
RESTRICTED — Viewing/possession is legal, but domestic production, distribution and sale of pornography is criminalized (up to 1–2 yrs + fines); supplying to under-16s is heavily penalized; child porn banned.
